You decided to reach your body goals. To make a real change, and gain a healthy habit that will make your life even more awesome? Great! But how long do you need to work out to see results?
The first step is to set realistic expectations. Got it? Okay, let’s learn more about the exciting journey that lies ahead of you.
You haven’t set a foot in the gym. Great NEWS for YOU!
It might sound counterintuitive, but the further your body is from the goal, the faster you’ll make progress toward it.
It’s pretty logical when you think about it; the more muscle you have to build, the less time it’s going to take you to challenge your fitness and see results.
That might not be the case if you are already squatting with your bodyweight on the shoulders – you’ll need more time and extra effort to get to the next level because you already gave your best. At this point, it’s all about pushing the limits just a bit higher and taking baby steps towards your beast mode. Be patient, you are a true soldier!

The first week
You are becoming more confident because you feel stronger and lighter. How is that possible in such a short period of time?
Reducing your intake of processed foods and refined carbs can lead to noticeable de-bloating. You are not really losing fat, but that’s a strong boost for your motivation.

When will you really see results?
Significant weight loss and muscle gains take some time to set in – about eight weeks on average.
It really depends on your fitness level, weight, age, and goals but it’s more than likely that you’ll notice results in that time period.

Please eat properly
All that effort during the workouts will be wasted if you are not eating properly. Your body perceives that foods are a supply; when you are starving the body starts burning protein for energy. The metabolic process of the body shuts down and it’s all a downward spiral from there.
The more you starve, the more you have to chase after the results yet you are always a step behind. That doesn’t sound fun or healthy, doesn’t it?

Slow down
Your muscles are not getting stronger during the workout. You get fitter in the hours and days between your training sessions.
Give your muscles a chance to repair and adapt because there’s nothing as frustrating as working hard without getting any results.

How many workouts per week do you need?
Try to include three to five workouts a week. If you feel like you can achieve more, go for it! Just remember, your body needs time to heal – give it at least a day to recover.
The goal is to build a habit out of it, to focus on regularity, intensity and continuously aiming higher. Once you get addicted, there’s no going back – working out becomes an essential part of your day; just like brushing your teeth or going to work.
